What is a fanlisting

[As taken from the AnimeFanlistings.Org] A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.

Lucky Star

[Taken from Wikipedia] Lucky Star's story portrays the lives of several girls attending a Japanese high school named Ryōō with a very loose sense of humor. The setting is mainly based on the city of Kasukabe in Saitama Prefecture. The main character is Konata Izumi, an athletic and intelligent girl who, despite these attributes, is not in a sports club and has low grades. Her laziness at school is due to her love for anime and video games and lack of interest in anything else. The serialization began with the four main characters in their first year of high school: Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. As the story progresses, they move on to their second and third years.

Izumi Kanata

[Taken from Wikipedia] Kanata Izumi was Konata Izumi's mother, who was very short and looked exactly like Konata, minus Konata's ahoge and the beauty mole under her left eye. She is described by Konata and Sōjirō Izumi as having a personality straight out of a bishōjo game. She died when Konata was an infant and her only appearances in the manga are through a single photograph and through Sōjirō's memory. Since she was Sōjirō's childhood friend, Konata has wondered if that was one of the main reasons why her mother married Sōjirō. In the animated version, Kanata returns to the Izumi residence as a spirit, and walks in on a conversation both Konata and Sōjirō were having about her. She is touched by Sōjirō's kind words that he was the only one who truly loved her as much as he did, and even took a picture with him and Konata together. However, when Sōjirō and Konata look at the photo image in the camera, they are spooked at what appears to be a shadow standing behind them. Konata wants to delete the image, while Sōjirō wants to burn it, thinking that the family will end up cursed if they let it be, but Kanata pleads with them not to delete the picture to no avail, as no one can see or hear her. However, it is implied that Kanata will finally get to meet her daughter (at least as a spirit) at the school festival of the Lucky Star Playstation 2 game, as the two are shown in a promotional poster together.

Why Kanata

Cause I love her! Kanata is cute, kind-hearted and innocent. I'm so sure she'd have been a great mother for Konata. It's very sad that she had to die u.u Though, maybe she wouldn't let Konata be an otaku o.o

Eternal

I know Kanata is dead, but we all know her spirit is still with Konata and Soujirou. She'll always be there for her family and she'll always be with us everytime we heard Soujirou talking about Kanata and remembering her ^¬^
